Eco Lips, Inc., a leading lip balm company specializing in certified organic personal lip balm products, today announced a new charitable initiative with Pencils of Promise (PoP). Pencils of Promise is a for-purpose organization founded in 2008, that has built more than 350 schools for children across Africa, Asia and Latin America. Through the partnership, Eco Lips will donate 1% of Pure & Simple lip balm sales to Pencils of Promise, with the inclusive goal of building a school within a select country.
Eco Lips has curated a trusted and reliable brand deeply rooted in the belief that working toward sustainable social change encompasses both community and charitable initiatives. “Our company is driven by passionate people and philanthropic principles. This is a collective investment within our company, as the partnership with PoP will truly impact both the Eco Lips team as well as the young people receiving the educational opportunities within their country,” said Steve Shriver, President & Founder of Eco Lips.
Since its inception, Eco Lips has established itself as the organic standard with sustainable innovation and humanitarian efforts for over thirteen years. “Through this platform, Eco Lips is committed to investing in creating healthy, safe lifestyles by focusing on educational support to help young people pursue their dreams,” said Jane Merten, VP of Sales & Marketing at Eco Lips.
This joint venture aligns with both organizations core values. “Our PoP family is comprised of the incredible community and partnerships who support PoP. Teaming up with Eco Lips is especially exciting for us, as we both share a commonality for creating and sustaining educational opportunities to students around the world,” said Adam Braun, founder of Pencils of Promise.
“We truly believe that a generation empowered will empower the world. Over the past six years, we’ve grown into an intercontinental organization that is not just improving infrastructure, but genuinely changing what a learning experience can be for a child anywhere in the world,” said Natalie Ebel, Director of Marketing at Pencils of Promise. “We applaud Eco Lips for joining the effort to make a meaningful difference in the health of our nation's youth.”
